Background on Sajad Gul
- Sajad Ahmad Sheikh alias Sajad Gul is the founder and leader of The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Taiba proxy group.
- He is based in Pakistan and was declared a designated terrorist by India's Ministry of Home Affairs in 2022.
- Gul was arrested in 2002 with 5 kg of RDX in Delhi, served 10 years, and fled to Pakistan after release.
- He has been accused of radicalizing youth and coordinating cross-border terror operations since 2012.
Attacks Linked to Gul and TRF
- Sajad Gul is accused of masterminding the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
